Send High Quality Images on WhatsApp

When someone sends an image using WhatsApp, by default the image is compressed and then sent to the receiver to save data. Thus, reducing the quality and size of the image. To verify this, you can compare the size of images sent and received.

So, what can we do in order to prevent any loss in image quality? We can send and receive high quality images using one simple WhatsApp trick. The trick is to send images as documents.

Follow the steps below,

  • Open WhatsApp and then click on the floating Message Icon present on the bottom right corner of the app.
  • Select the Contact to whom you want to send high quality images.
  • Click on the Attachment Icon present on the right side of the bottom input text box and then click on the Document icon.
  • Now click on the Browse other docs option and then browse to the folder where images are saved.
  • Select the image you want to send. To select multiple images, long click on any image and then select two or more images.
  • If multiple images are selected, click on the Open option present on the top right corner of the app.
  • Finally click on the SEND button.

The images will be uploaded and sent as document files. You can view the high quality images received by the receiver using default image viewer and use them as you like.

Send Stickers on WhatsApp

Today, stickers have become the most popular way of expressing emotions on WhatsApp. Emotions includes happiness, sadness, festive mood etc. Not only on WhatsApp, stickers are also popular among other social networks.

In order to send stickers on WhatsApp, one has to add them on their mobile first.

To add stickers on WhatsApp, follow the steps below.

  • Open WhatsApp and then click on the message icon.
  • Select any contact.
  • Click on the Smiley Icon present on the left side of the bottom input text box.
  • Now click on the Sticker Icon present on the bottom bar (beside the GIF icon).
  • Now click on the ‘+’ Icon present below the Mic icon.
  • While you are on All Stickers tab, scroll down and select stickers of your choice.
  • Once you have made your choice, click on the Install button present beside the stickers.
  • Did not find what you are looking for? Click on the Get More Stickers option present on the bottom of ‘All Stickers’ tab.
  • This action will take you to either Play Store or Apple Store with WhatsApp stickers search results.
  • Install desired WhatsApp stickers on your mobile.
  • Open WhatsApp stickers app from the app drawer.
  • If the app has multiple categories, select the category you are looking for. Then click on the Install button.
  • Now click on the downloaded stickers and then click on the Add To WhatsApp option.
  • If asked whether you would like to add those stickers to WhatsApp then click on the ADD option.
  • That’s it. You should now have stickers on WhatsApp.

To send stickers on WhatsApp, follow the steps below.

  • Open WhatsApp and select the contact to whom you would want to send stickers.
  • Click on the Smiley Icon and then Sticker Icon.
  • Click on the newly added stickers tab.
  • To send the sticker, click on it.

Using these simple steps, one can send stickers on WhatsApp and express their emotions to the others. Simple, isn’t it?

Bold, Italic and Strike-through Words/Sentences

Instead of writing words or sentences in capital letters, we can make them bold or italic or strike-through to give them special importance. WhatsApp allows us to make words or sentences bold or italic or strike-through using certain symbols.

Bold : Add an asterisk (*) on the left side and right side of the word or sentence.
Example: *hello* , *hello world*

Italic : Add an underscore (_) on the left side and right side of the word or sentence.
Example: _hello_ , _hello world_

Strike-through : Add a tilde (~) on the left side and right side of the word or sentence.
Example: ~hello~ , ~hello world~

Create And Send GIF Directly On WhatsApp

GIFs are a trend these days. Its always better to send GIFs instead of videos. Because, no extra video codecs are needed to play GIFs and also they are smaller in size compared to videos.

You can now create and send GIF directly on WhatsApp. You should have the desired video on your mobile gallery before you can follow the steps below.

  • Open WhatsApp and then open the Contact to whom you want to send GIFs.
  • Click on the Camera Icon present on the bottom input text box.
  • Either record a new video or select any existing desired video from the gallery.
  • Adjust the length of the video until you see Video and GIF Icon on the right side of the video.
  • Now click on the GIF Icon. WhatsApp will play the preview of the GIF that is about to be created.
  • You can add caption, text, emoticons, emojis or even apply color.
  • Finally, click on Send Icon.

That’s it. GIF will be created from the video and will be sent to the receiver.

Read Messages Without Sending Read Receipts

When you read messages on WhatsApp, you automatically send read receipts to the sender in the form of blue ticks. This is the default behavior of WhatsApp.

To read messages without sending read receipts to the sender, you have to:

  • Add WhatsApp widget to your mobile home screen.
  • Now, when someone messages you, scroll on the messages and read them.

Thus, the sender will receive message delivery receipts i.e, black ticks instead of the read receipts i.e, blue ticks.

Find The Person Who Interacts With You The Most

This WhatsApp trick used to work only on iOS in the past but now it works on Android too. No separate or additional application is required for this WhatsApp trick.

Its the built-in feature of WhatsApp. To know who interacts with you the most,

  • Open WhatsApp
  • Go to Settings > Data and Storage Usage > Storage Usage > Select Contact

The person you think might not be the one who interacts with you the most on WhatsApp. Is that the same person who you thought? Results might surprise you.

Send Messages To Numbers Without Adding Them

When someone wants to send a message on WhatsApp, they are required to add mobile number of the receiver to their contact list. Then they should refresh their WhatsApp contact list and then select the new contact for sending message.

What if I tell you that there exist a simple trick that allows us to send messages to numbers without adding them to our contact list? Using this trick, we can send messages to someone whose mobile number is not present in our contact list.

  • Install Click2Chat WhatsApp app from Play Store on your Android mobile.
  • Open it and paste the receiver mobile number.
  • Write your message.
  • Click on the Send Now button on the Click2Chat app.
  • This action will open WhatsApp with the message typed. Finally, click on the Send Icon button on WhatsApp to send the message.

This trick will help most of the people who prefer sending messages to numbers without adding them to their contact list.

Schedule WhatsApp Calls, Emails, SMS

This WhatsApp trick currently works only on Android AFAIK. If you are an iOS user, consider reading other WhatsApp tricks.

When you want to send a message or call someone on WhatsApp on a particular date and time, you might end up adding an alarm about the same to remind you on that date and time.

What if I tell you that there exist a trick using which one can automate calling and sending of WhatsApp messages on a particular date and time? Follow the steps below.

  • Install Click2Chat WhatsApp app from Play Store on your Android mobile.
  • Open it and paste the receiver mobile number.
  • Write your message.
  • Click on the Send Later button on the Click2Chat app.
  • (or)
  • Install SQEDit Scheduling App from Play Store on your Android mobile.
  • Configure it and make use of it to automate sending of messages, calls and messages on WhatsApp.
